GPC’s response to boundary proposal
Gotherington Parish Council (GPC) has submitted its formal response to Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Community Governance Review, which includes a boundary-change proposal submitted by Bishop’s Cleeve Parish Council. Residents were invited to submit comments to GPC for inclusion.

Tewkesbury Borough Council (TBC) is currently carrying out a Community Governance Review (CGR) of parish arrangements in the area. As part of this process, Bishop’s Cleeve Parish Council is seeking to alter the boundary between Bishop’s Cleeve and Gotherington.
Gotherington Parish Council has now agreed its formal response to the proposal. The response sets out the planning, landscape and governance reasons why the council does not support the suggested boundary change. You can find the full response below as a PDF document. Residents were invited to provide their own views to the Parish Clerk, who forwarded them to TBC to be considered alongside the parish council’s submission. In total, 48 submissions were received from residents.
